I voted NO to the govt’s bill to subsidize Enbridge to expand fossil gas hook-ups because there are cheaper alternatives for consumers like heat pumps and because we are in a climate emergency.

Ford chose to support gas giant Enbridge, Greens chose to support the people.

It’s REALLY important that ’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally AGAINST downtown bike-lanes, later became one of their most vigourous supporters, because of EVIDENCE that bike-lanes are better for downtown business than any street parking they replace.

Avoidance of taxes by the rich isn’t limited to Australians.

Too many rich Canadians are pushing social media posts attacking our upcoming increase in capital gains. They are using the ignorant right wing to fight the rich paying their fair share.

Yes, the Harris years. Do Walkerton and Ipperwash bring to mind some of the legacies of the Harris years? Now Doug Ford is moving to shut down 6 of the 11 Public Health Ontario labs. OPSEU is circulating a petition, but there doesn't appear to be an electronic version.

Interesting to me how often the most ardent champions and advocates of free markets and capitalism demand that governments get involved in their industries to ensure they make profits with no risk and cover any of their losses.

Ouf. Good for the workers. They deserve that money.

But our political leadership just cost us a lot of money that could have been spent on all nice things like transit that works, shows up on time, and is affordable.

The average Canadian voter is very unfamiliar with run-of-the-mill wealth management.

And btw, we have nowhere near US-level inequality.

Our inequality is mainly 2 things.

Your age
Your housing

It's no wonder the govt is facing challenges meeting their gas plant goals. Ontarians know there are better options and won't accept the health risks associated with living near a gas plant.

There's no reason to continue building fossil gas plants that risk our future when power
