So. Yesterday, this person claimed, “I’m Jewish and I’ll use the term globalist over and over.”

Her argument is that the term isn’t antisemitic since there actually is a global conspiracy of a few people controlling the world.

Here’s what happened next.

I'm genuinely fascinated by all the 'Labour should be worried about Sunak' pieces just months after the 'Labour should be worried abt Truss' ones. So similar in structure too 'evidence of steely persona + past difficulty mastered + well they've made it this far so must be good.'

India’s government says that “the nuclear option should not be resorted to by any side”. Neglects to point out that Ukraine *has no nuclear option* other than in the fevered imagination of the Kremlin.

Of all the many delusions that have gripped British politics, this is perhaps the most destructive. It's what I call 'The Tinkerbell Theory of History' - and it's carrying us down the road to ruin. [THREAD] 1/13

From Lawrence Freedman - chilling but quite plausible:

'[Mobilised Russians] have been used as disposable soldiers, good only for one attack before dead, wounded or surrendered.

Hard to articulate just how far Germany's star in EU has fallen. In Bxl & EU capitals, Berlin is seen to be on wrong side of every important debate - weapons to Ukraine, more fiscal solidarity in Europe, energy market interventions etc. It's even affected bilateral Fr-Ger ties 1/

There’s no doubt we are facing tough economic times. Maybe even, as @rishisunak called it, “a profound economic crisis”.
But is it really that big? Is he going too far? And how much of the bad stuff can be laid at the door of Liz Truss?

I’m so glad that I’m not teaching Public / Constitutional Law since I had no idea that breaking the ministerial code simply meant that you leave the cabinet for a week! The next time any Minister fancies a quick holiday they should leak some confidential materials.

Suella Braverman did not mistakenly leak a meaningless document. She endlessly consulted a maverick. She deliberately emailed a policy doc not yet agreed to her pvt email. Then she sent it to John Hayes and someone she thought was his wife. Then lied to PM about when it was sent

Ukraine needs more heavy artillery and more competent airframes.

Every soldier I speak to says the same thing.

If they had the right equipment liberation process would go so much faster and smoother.

The only advantage Russian forces have is quantity of equipment.
