Two images from last Saturday's super 10th Anniversary Open Day.
Thanks to our AM Samuel Kurtz MS , local mayor of PD and the Chair of the PCC, for coming along to support us, also thanks to our volunteers, (some of whom who really got into the spirit!) as well as our local visitors.

RAF Brawdy (also HMS Goldcrest) was famous for its Annual Airshows.
Our archives have several images from these events, these include a 'witch on a broomstick' and a large number of Fairey Gannet aircraft in 'anchor' formation. The last image dates from 1979, during RAF times.

A poor quality image of the Short Empire flying boat 'Caledonia' at RAF Pembroke Dock.
Lessons learned from this class of long-range passenger boats would form the basis of the later (more famous) Short Sunderland. A biplane Singapore is seen behind, then the current type at PD.

Can you identify the missing names?
We have a whole on-line photo archive from the Coronation School, check it out to see if your relatives played in any of the school's many sports teams featured from the 1950s...and earlier!

It's sobering to think that the last big PD 'Flying Boat re-union' was now over 30 years ago, in 1993.
The image shows WW2 veterans and current serving service personnel (including from the Netherlands) marching together on the streets of Pembroke Dock... for the last time.
