Delighted to be working with Matt Jackson again on another important case. State immunity law should be restricted to the bare minimum. Discriminatory acts should not evade judicial scrutiny.

Interested to see what Cycling UK and friends are up to on access issues for cyclists. I'll be speaking a bit about my work. If you are into disability rights please check out the Cycle Advocacy Network event tonight. There will be plotting.

Pretty pretty pretty good.

I got the award but no way I am even in the conversation unless I am at Leigh Day - what we are, who we represent and how we go about it. That's the win.

Can't teach without teachers, can't research without researchers, could easily manage without managers.

Show some solidarity with the amazing Goldsmiths UCU

An important win. The recent recommendations of Lord Walney seem equally unlawful. We need to protect the right to dissent both in the courts and on the streets.

Brilliant to see the size of this action. Important we get Manchester's transport infrastructure fit for the future.

Prisons beyond capacity, courts collapsing (sometimes literally) and MoJ unable to properly fund advice services. Is it really this nonsense that deserves resources? Someone wants to give their head a wobble.

Massive credit to the client and the mighty mighty Nick W Kirklees Citizens Advice & Law Centre. We all know this is commonplace and ruining lives. Because they are immensely difficult cases to bring and conclude this behaviour is rarely challenged. No point having laws without effective enforcement.

Great stuff from Disability News Service and my amazing colleague Carolin.

In 2018 EHRC began winding down their legal work holding DWP to account in anticipation of this agreement. 6 lost years later. Nothing. They are better than this.

This is really measured. Disabled people have been at the sharpest pointiest end of austerity. They knew they would be. 14 years of steep decline leading inevitably to crisis.

Very interesting take on the practical applications of Mercer. Limbo in the ET for private sector, High Court human rights based claims for the public sector? I remain of the view it is an important victory, albeit requiring fancy legal footwork to apply.

The sun is shining, the garden is greening. The view from my office is amazing. Even a morning wrestling with a bundle can't kill the positive vibes.

The Supreme Court judgment in Deliveroo 'feels' wrong. This piece on UK Labour Law Blog provides a framework for why that is the case.

Recovery of overpayments should be halted. Roll out of UC should be halted. Universal Basic Income should be implemented. Research and common sense say it works.

The work Child Poverty Action Group RNIB and Age UK Campaigns have done on Mandatory Reconsideration is heartening. Strategic social welfare advice still alive (just) and definitely kicking as hard as ever!
