It's all change in 'Your Clitheroe' gallery at . we have the Clarion Cup. Set up in 1934 the 32-mile Clitheroe – Settle – Clitheroe Reliability Time trial was a club event for 35 years. In 1970 it became an open event until its final race in 1993!

Battle of Whalley. 21 April 1643.
Colonel Richard Shuttleworth ambushes the Earl of Derby's royalists at Read Bridge, who are three times his number. Attacked at such close quarters, the royalists (comprising of Clubmen) break and fall back to Whalley. It is a decisive defeat.

I'm so hyped to share images of this piece because I kid you not when I say that this is one of the best pieces of early modern professional embroidery I have EVER seen. The embroidery is next level and it has so much personality. It's a true feast for the eyes!
