My readers are seriously the BEST! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ they're buying up all the misprinted copies! I literally sobbed about this but they have just showed so much love I'm blown away.

Me to myself: You know, Rebecca, you can just scroll on when you see people being snarky/bitter/mean/judgmental. Their opinion has literally ZERO impact on you, your books, or your life. Let them work themselves into a lather while you scroll peacefully onward.

It can be, but it's also fairly accessible. All you need is a few simple tools and your mind. And TIME 😅 which is where the privilege or sacrifice comes in. Education/editing also is a factor of course if you're looking to publish, but there are free tools to help with that.

As an author, I see other writers sometimes crapping on really popular books in their genre, and from a 'I want to sell books to buy groceries' perspective, here's the thing:

A hugely popular book sells other books.

If an author is doing really well with a book that you don't think is very good, well... put on your big kid britches and deal with it. Either do your best to ignore it and focus on YOUR work, or find a way to draw people to your books because of it (but not in a crappy way.)

I don't like being back on Twitter. So many people being angry, snarky, and wrong all the time😅

It's a matter of professionalism and kindness... and not burning bridges. Not understanding this concept seems very strange to me.

I screwed up. Thankfully it was mostly PR copies. I was sobbing with relief that the hardcovers are correct. Thankfully someone let me know about this before release day!

When I have a huge mailing I always bring the post office folks snacks and drinks or some boxes of doughnuts❤️❤️
