The rumours are true. I'm bringing Door-to-Door Poetry back for a one-off Christmas special for The Verb. I'm going to be knocking in Hebden Bridge this Friday and the finished poems will be broadcast on December 22nd. I'll be blogging about it all as usual 1/2

Friday before last I became poet in residence in a late night pizza takeaway. As part of my residency for Queen's Hall Arts, Hexham, I offered short poems to people in Hexham pizza, before asking them for ideas for new ones. Shout out to Shona, Niamh, Joe and Laura for getting involved.

Check out Kwai Feh by Pablo here, it's a poem from the recent SlamFresh project. A hilarious and heartfelt ode to his favourite restaurant. I love it.

Check out this class poem from a slam we put on in Northern Stage . It was all about getting some young people writing who didn't normally write. I love how universal this experience is. Surely at least half the poplation of the world remember the first time they heard Elvis.

I'm really proud of the work these young people have done and I'm really looking forward to sharing some of thier quality poetry. Give the SlamFresh page a follow if you haven't already and help us spread the word.

Fun times with Colin and Hillary from Stanhope here. They came to one of my workshops. Not only did they offer to drive me the actual width of the country to my gig in Helsington last night, they also took me to a nature reserve on the way. I saw a lot of coots and 4 mallards.

All set for my show in Stanhope tonight. Tomorrow I'm off to Helsington and Brigsteer village hall in Kendal. It sounds a bit like there might be vampires. I've decided to pack garlic.
