Very sudden, given the way a DPS officer spoke to two of us reporters not even an hour ago. But, as of right now, the 63 LAPD vehicles and officers in tactical gear with cuffs and zip ties have all vacated the area.

#BREAKING : USC dismissed all LAPD officers from campus. “Tactical alert” was cancelled at 11pm (LAPD) No helicopters are in the area. The operation has been aborted. The “city-wide tactical alert” was first issued around 6:30pm tonight. Waiting on 100% confirmation from DPS.

Student journalists are fearing arrest as Carol Folt greenlights another LAPD riot on USC campus. Another night of violence on her own students simply because they demanded that the university divest from genocide.

Absolutely despicable.

American academia is a house of cards collapsing before our eyes. The illusion is gone, and good riddance. The debt burdening of students, police departments, corporate boards, and obscene salaries of presidents all have to go.

I feel like the name “Cop City” made it pretty clear what the plan was. That Emory University called in the police to violently repress protests & also that they were quick to suggest “outside agitators” were behind the protests, shows what all the fuss is about #StopCopCity .
