Question 3: Can I call you even if I'm not feeling suicidal?

> Samaritans are here, day or night, for anyone who needs to talk. You don’t need to be in crisis- in fact we encourage you to call us before it gets to that point.

Question 2: What if I’m really nervous when I call?

>We understand how difficult it is to pick up the phone and call us, and we will be there to support you throughout the call, at your own pace.

It was great meeting Samaritans CEO Julie Bentley today at the NI Office.

Julie also got the opportunity to meet volunteers at Samaritans of Newry & Dundalk, as well as at Craigavon Samaritans where she also got to thank Margaret for 49 years of listening- what an amazing accomplishment. 👏💚

As #resultsday looms, Samaritans is asking those receiving their marks, and those who care for them, to put wellbeing ahead of grades and ask for help if they’re struggling.
