Yesterday, Minister for Keeping the Promise Natalie Don MSP led the debate at Scottish Parliament on the Children (Care and Justice) Bill.
Now passed, the Bill will help Scotland take a big step forward in embedding #UNCRC principles and Keeping the Promise.

At Scottish Parliament today, amendments to the Children (Care and Justice) Bill are being debated.
It follows extensive work with the Education, Children and Young People Committee during Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the Bill.

Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth met pupils and teachers at Bearsden Academy.
Pupils shared experiences of the school’s approach to supporting a range of career pathways to meet their ambitions.
Mobile phones in schools, attendance and qualification reform were also discussed.

Staff delivering funded early learning and childcare are to receive at least £12 an hour.
Guidance, backed by £16 million Scottish Government funding, will support childminders and staff in the private, voluntary and independent sectors to receive the increase.
@ScotGov has provided extra funding to secure the jobs of 27 staff working for the Gaelic Community officers scheme.
It will allow Bòrd na Gàidhlig to maintain the officers who work to promote the Gaelic language and culture.
