Ms Don took the opportunity to talk to members of the community and celebrate the importance of foster care.

A one-off emergency £1.5m fund to support families struggling with the impact of school meal debt has been announced by First Minister.

This is one of the measures being taken forward by @ScotGov as part of ambitions to eradicate child poverty.

Children and Young People Minister Natalie Don MSP found out that come rain or shine children at Little Bugs Nursery are able to enjoy the outdoors as she learned more about how an outdoor nursery setting operates throughout the year.

Minister for The Promise Natalie Don MSP has marked Foster Care Fortnight.

This year's theme is #FosteringMoments .

It provides an opportunity to reflect on the impact fostering has on children and young people and also on those who foster them.

Further Education Minister Graeme Dey attended the opening of Mitsubishi Electric' new heat pump training centre in Livingston.

It will provide training in the installation of clean heating technology with capacity to train over 1,000 people a year as part of the drive to net zero.

Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth joined STARME - Scottish Teachers Assoc. of RME at the #STARME24 Festival of Learning.

Ms Gilruth highlighted the importance of religious and moral education in the curriculum and the vital role played by subject specialists.

On Wednesday 8 May, Natalie Don MSP, Minister for Children, Young People and The Promise, made a visit to Disclosure Scotland.

The Minister was particularly interested about the journey so far and work surrounding the implementation of the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

Ms Don was able to see the support available for children and young people following the Bairns' Hoose model.

First Minister John Swinney attended a Scottish Parliament reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

The college is the world’s only learning centre delivering courses in Gaelic.
