Minister for The Promise Natalie Don MSP joined The Fostering Network and members of the fostering community for a family friendly walk at Mugdock Country Park.
Ms Don took the opportunity to talk to members of the community and celebrate the importance of foster care.
A one-off emergency £1.5m fund to support families struggling with the impact of school meal debt has been announced by First Minister.

Further Education Minister Graeme Dey attended the opening of Mitsubishi Electric' new heat pump training centre in Livingston.
It will provide training in the installation of clean heating technology with capacity to train over 1,000 people a year as part of the drive to net zero.
Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth joined STARME - Scottish Teachers Assoc. of RME at the #STARME24 Festival of Learning.
Ms Gilruth highlighted the importance of religious and moral education in the curriculum and the vital role played by subject specialists.

Earlier today The Promise Minister Natalie Don MSP visited the North Strathclyde Bairns' Hoose with Children 1st.
Ms Don was able to see the support available for children and young people following the Bairns' Hoose model.

The college is the world’s only learning centre delivering courses in Gaelic.
@ScotGov wants more people to be able to learn, speak and use the language.
