BREAKING: United Nations Human Rights Committee has recommended the abolition of laws that criminalize homelessness in the U.S.
They also recommend reallocating funds away from law enforcement and towards adequate housing.

United Nations National Homelessness Law Center These recommendations come after the United Nations HRC's recent review in Geneva which investigated the U.S.' violations of international human rights treaties. Encampments are primarily the result of systemic causes: rising rents and stagnant wages, not individual causes. Policing won’t change those systemic things, and that’s why criminalization won’t end encampments. #HousingNotHandcuffs ends homelessness.
