The call follows a report from National Homelessness Law Center @UMlawHRC Miami Coalition to Advance Racial Equity that shows the U.S.' failure stem the tide of homelessness by failing to provide affordable housing.

'Housing is a human right' is more than just a slogan, it's an obligation that the U.S. government is failing to ensure.

Everyone from everywhere can see the bullshit. And it’s taking the UN to tell us how to run our country because we have become totally blind and incompetent as to how. Greed and war have taken over the fetishizers lusts and they’ve left everyone else out to die off.

Encampments are primarily the result of systemic causes: rising rents and stagnant wages, not individual causes. Policing won’t change those systemic things, and that’s why criminalization won’t end encampments. ends homelessness.

This is shameful. Boston City Council has voted to evict a large encampment and devote millions of dollars to policing and security to enforce no camping bans around the city.

Not only does this not end homelessness, it diverts $ and time away from solving homelessness.

Powerful to join New Yorkers of all walks of life—longtime or recently arrived; directly impacted and advocates; and of diverse faiths, or perhaps none at all—in a prayer vigil to support the right to shelter, including for asylum seekers.

Nothing about displacing migrant children from a shelter site and a school is okay. Nothing about forced relocation is okay. Nothing about lack of adequate housing is okay.

At our hearing on legal services for asylum seekers, I was overjoyed to hear that our City has FINALLY invested in the coordinated legal services we've been demanding for well over a year. The issue? The process is slow, so we're yet to see results.
