Faculty at Northwestern are running a 24hr shift schedule to maintain a line of protection around their students’ encampment—preserving their right to free speech in this important moment.

As Angela Davis remarked yesterday, “Palestine is a litmus test for justice for everyone.”

What a profound act of love and solidarity. The students are holding Shabbat service at the gates so their suspended friends can join.

The kicker is how Ohio State is now saying that the snipers were there aiming their guns at the protestors to protect the protestors

Last night, Ohio State U. officials insisted that of course they would never have rooftop snipers during students' pro-Palestinian protest

Today, they admitted they lied

Some tenured faculty members at Brown University are being threatened with vague disciplinary action after having visited the encampments. They received this email from the Dean of Faculty. I’ve confirmed at least 2, but there are at least 2 more I am hearing about beyond that.

Minutes after this video, UPenn sent an email that all students at the encampment would be suspended because of antisemitism charges.

“[Universities] want you to believe we are enemies to protect their genocidal investments, but there is no deeper solidarity.”

That's funny. I actually saw Richard Cordray in person at a San Francisco courthouse on Wednesday during the Sweet vs. Cardona hearing. He looked at the plaintiff and promised that the DOE is committed to resolving the issue...

Atlanta Police Department hiring event in Brooklyn was disrupted today by abolitionists who released 300 crickets into the Marriott hosting. The fire alarm was also pulled.

Per release: “We are everywhere. We are the horde of locusts that will destroy you.”

Just a reminder that universities could simply heed the demands of students around the country. Like, the encampments aren’t for fun—the demand is to divest from genocide. That is an actual thing colleges and universities can and should do.

Yes. When we think about the student debt crisis we forget that many universities are in debt too. Institutional debt creates an invisible institutional architecture - universities invest in police over pedagogy, etc. The banks and creditors get to pull the puppet strings.

This is the logic LBJ/Nixon used for their criminal surveillance of the antiwar movement (that is was secretly directed by Moscow and Peking).

Hey, remember when Harvard professor Skip Gates was arrested trying to enter his own home, yelled ~ 'I'm a professor!'
And Obama decided the best thing to do was have a 'Beer Summit'?
Somehow, I don't think it worked...

Just a reminder that Biden allocated BILLIONS of dollars in COVID relief funds for police departments after young people got him in office

Good luck convincing them you’re the “save democracy” party when they see heavily armed police doing this at campuses all over the country
