I was about to overtake the vehicle ahead, but then I saw a solid white line appear. I stayed in my lane until the solid line ended and a dashed white line appeared. Then, after checking my mirrors and for oncoming traffic (MSM = Mirrors, Signals, Maneuver), I safely overtook.
