Both Truss and Johnson can only speak at events ideally thousands of miles away where the organisers are either so pathetically out of touch or unctuous they’re willing to allow them to drone on unchallenged by facts and reality.

Johnson’s lies resulted in the national disaster that was Brexit and his lies meant he eventually had to be removed from office by his own party. All he has left now are his lies to sustain him in his lonely belief that he has been anything other but a total and abysmal failure.

Exactly and that was just a colossal waste of police time. After being made to go around parks in vans during the lockdowns ordering people not to sunbathe - as Johnson and his mates partied in No 10 - you’d imagine the police would have got wise to this lot by now.

I'm not sure this police investigation into whether Angela Rayner broke electoral law will get very far. When we found on C4 News in Stoke by-election that Ukip leader was registered at address he'd told me he'd never yet visited, Staffs police investigated & dropped the case.

By now the police should be allowed to say to Grant Shapps and the Daily Mail, ‘I’m sorry, boys, but we’ve other more important things to do and would rather not come out to play this time.’
