“People know what they’re doing”

Most don’t.

A shocking number of people are sleep walking through life, living out patterns they can’t even see in themselves.

Don’t take lack of awareness personally.

Growing up watching your parents constantly fighting, competing, and deceiving each other sets you up to view love as pain. And marriage as a trap.

People don’t want their problems solved, they want their feelings heard.

I wished we talked more about often people use sex to escape emotional intimacy.

One of the saddest part of the healing journey: letting some people stay where they are while you grow into the better version of yourself.
