Esperia sulphurella landed on the car in the sunshine near Wellington, Somerset VC5 this morning. Somerset Moth Group
Walk around the headland and to the north breach screen at WWT Steart Marshes. Reed, sedge and Cetti warblers, common whitethroat. Spoonbill, greenshank, spotted redshank; yellow wags bathing in fresh water pool. Oliver Smart 's Woodchat shrike nice to finish on. Thanks Sam, warden.

Dark sword-grass found on re-checking egg trays before storing today. Pleasantly surprised after 7 moths of 3 (Orthosia) species to MV light last night. Other sightings further S and W last night so this may have arrived on the sou'wester from continental Europe. Somerset Moth Group
