That photo alone got me reading. Ypres Castle Inn would be a stand out anywhere in the country, absolutely amazing pub run by a lovely team

It’s good, this pub Ypres Castle Inn. People know they can just turn up for a drink, and not worry about interrupting a food service. Like, for example, if they just got married at the church at the top of the steps.

We WILL be showing the Rugby Six Nations this year: a new screen is going up in the side room (so rest of the pub will still be tv and sports free).

We get asked a lot every year to show it, and end up sending good people off to pubs they don’t really want to go to so they can!

We’ll be closed throughout the first three weeks of January, to give time for some works on the pub and garden, and also to rest after a busy festive period.
