If your non HS sport coach, (AAU, Travel Baseball, 7 on 7), is telling you NOT to play multiple sports in high school they are not looking out for your best interest. They are trying to benefit off our your dollars.

You can tell how committed a player is by:

1) The attitude they bring
2) The questions they ask
3) Their openness to feedback
4) What time they arrive to practice
5) The extra work they're willing to do

If we aren't struggling, we aren't learning. We don't need to over-hype the importance of failing, but a little bit of discomfort is a good thing. Great skills are borne out of the struggle.
