It is 3rd day of June, but for 1st black-tailed #godwits southward #migration has begun. We see flocks of 100s on mown grass in Friesland, birds with lost procreative opportunities, so fuelling up for #flights to SW Europe & beyond. Nicely visible on globalflywaynetwork.org/tracks/species… too.
