UK rents rose by 9.2% in the 12 months to March, up from an increase of 9% in the previous month. London rents up by 11.2%. Average rent in London (£2,055) now nearly £1,000 higher than GB average (£1,246)

🟥 Inflation drops to 3.2% from 3.4%, higher than the Bank of England expected. Crucially services inflation came in at 6%, again, higher than the BoE expected (5.8%). Strengthens chances that rate cuts are postponed until later this year
