I often think about this photo, not just on Veterans Day. This is my grandfather, an American GI standing triumphant at the end of WWII in Germany -- after defeating his own father's homeland. Look at that smile.

On the other, I’m disgusted LA County and LASD admits no wrongdoing. A deputy was caught on video from multiple angles trying to destroy evidence of their misconduct. Inexcusable.
