I get that everybody has budgets to balance but cutting #linkworking hits some of the most vulnerable hardest. These models are built around trusting relationships & strong local networks - you can't just spread half the workforce thinner and expect the same outcomes...😕

Off to the excellent Mollys for amazing treacle and date scones. Prob seemed a good idea having a turning circle for cars near the school. Every time I come here I'm struck by just how many cars it encourages into the school environment & the blocked road that results. Own goal.

This is really good to see. Too often cllrs are accused of being out of touch. This is good, fair leadership on issues blighting our communities. Getting out early doors to see impacts in reality and not shying away from good/bad/could be improved. 👏

I paid a wee visit Corstorphine High Street today to check on the footpath widening works.

It's causing a bit on inconvenience locally, but I think the end result will be welcomed by many.

Lots of seed sowing, planting, bed clearing, mulching, watering, coffee drinking going on today. Felt like summer again.

Busy harvesting our flax crop this morning. Remove by hand and laid out to begin ‘retting’ for a few weeks. If we get it right the fibres in the stems can be used to make linen.

The licencing deadline can not be delayed again.

It's beyond belief that the council's entertaining the idea. Landlords have had long enough to apply.
It's not tenants fault that they have been complacent and ignored the deadline, but tenants will suffer if it is extended 🧵
