IME, the strongest advocates of 'disagree & commit' almost never reciprocate the same. Point it out the next time someone asks you to do this.

A silent killer of productivity in tech teams is fear. Fear of breaking something.

Bear that in mind when you choose to not invest in automated tests & CI.

I wasn't able to reply to everyone, but thanks for sharing your ideas.

My biggest reason to decline 'talks' at colleges is that the convenors (almost) never have a good topic - same usual stuff.

What are some topics that are worthwhile to talk to students about?

Assuming the MAC address to be generated randomly (i.e. not an IEEE registered OUI), what's the probability you'll not get a single [a-f] digit?

It’s better run product engineering with few good people, and have less meetings.. than have tons of meetings everyday and get more people to put only 3-4 hours creating products…

As a person who has often put out technical (for twitter) details busting crypto claims, to see myself QT'ed as a crypto proponent.. never thought I'd live to see the day 🤷‍♂️
