It is outrageous that a party claiming to be ‘pro-building’ is actively working to stop housing being constructed where it is needed most. This nepotistic approach to planning will create more opposition to building in the long run - and will make young people’s lives worse.

The logic of cutting targets where housing is needed most is still baffling As Next Gen Tories argue, there is a massive dividend available to the politician brave enough to give working people an easier journey to home ownership Thatcher knew it, and today she would be a YIMBY!

Rayner: So where are the most acute housing pressures, where do we need to build some more houses? Labour housing team: the Lake District, definitely the Lake District Rayner: ahh yes, that seems about right, no Labour voters to annoy there.

Maida Vale combines gentle density with beauty. We should have five more across the UK, one for each area of highest housing demand.

.Pierre Poilievre has shown what a pro-housing, low tax, pro-working age conservative party can do. Winning the support of anyone under the age of 65 is a decision the UK Conservatives can make. Next Gen Tories 3 asks of the leadership candidates set out the questions we need

Age is the most significant dividing line in politics and the Conservative Party must win back working age voters if it is to return as a proper electoral force. We spoke to Sam Stevenson about our thoughts on a winnable Conservative future. express.co.uk/news/politics/…

The Conservative party must engage much better with younger people producing policies that are relevant to their lives and that build their aspirations. I’m very pleased to have the backing of ⁦James Cowling⁩ and ⁦Next Gen Tories⁩ as I stand for Vice President #JB4VP

It is only if you accept our dysfunctional, ugly house, planning system that you need to rely on the state to build Private enterprise in the victorian era was better at building than any post-war government - and tell me who produced more attractive housing in better locations

.James Cleverly🇬🇧 is right about London. A new upbeat Conservative pitch can win. Unlocking more homes & refuting Labour’s dull puritanism. A pro-growth agenda for our biggest city. standard.co.uk/news/politics/…

A graceful statement from Priti Patel MP. Her parting point on winning over a new, younger, base is crucial. Its the single main challenge any leader will face. We're the driving force of that change. Sign up to be part of it 👇 nextgentories.com/become-a-member

At the election if someone under 50 opened the door, your gut said they wouldn’t vote Conservative. Usually the hunch was right. I’ve written in ConservativeHome about why and how this has to change & the work of Next Gen Tories 👇 conservativehome.com/2024/09/06/jam…
