Total respect for my friend Mark McFadden . Retiring after 30 years from UTV. A great journalist and colleague.
Probably the finest ever Troubles related book was the late David Beresford’s Ten Men Dead, the story of the Republican hunger strikes. But this memoir is right up there as one of the very, very best. Denis Bradley has produced a brilliantly revealing read. Merrion Press

The Eamonn Mallie biography Eye Witness to War and Peace is a compelling read. The Charlie Haughey story I found particularly fascinating. Strongly recommend.
