Virginia teachers work very hard each day for our students, which is why regular breaks are essential. I worked with @Shelly_Simonds to ensure that the VA Department of Education studies whether or not our teachers are actually getting the rest they deserve!

It’s Black Maternal Health Week! Black mothers are 3x more likely to die in childbirth than white moms, and I’m grateful to Delegate Rae Cousins for passing a bill to study this issue and @Destinyforva and Mamie Locke
for their work in expanding access to doula care.
