Katie was an incredible mentor to me when we overlapped as students at UMSI! I cannot say enough good things. If you are considering computing ed research, she should be at the top of your list for rigorous scholarship, mentorship, and being a genuinely awesome person!!!

I've been working on Dynamic Easing Function, which accepts initial velocity and continues the transition to keep the velocity continuous. Thus it can deal with target value changes caused by user interaction or cancellation.

I wrote up interactive examples from our POPL 2022 paper at f.luid.org. (Couldn’t do this before for performance reasons!) Our main insight is that Galois connections relating input “parts” to output parts have De Morgan duals – as long as “parts” have complements.

can someone recommend a good javascript or ocaml fuzzy matching library i could use to improve the below rankings? (ideally something that will emit indices like those used below for the green underlining). beginning to question the time i'm spending with ad-hoc edit-distance DP

Tanvir has done an incredible job leading high-impact projects resulting in industry adoption, establishing collaborations, mentoring students that went to great programs, and raising funding. He already operates as a successful junior professor and will be an awesome advisor.
