There’s no such thing as a failed kyphoplasty. There are, however, kyphoplasties in which the surgeon did not place enough cement.

Even with SpineJack, cement must fill across the midline of the vertebral body. If it isn't behaving (rarely happens), a high parapedicular access is a great way to add that necessary cement to the center.
