We were honoured to be part of the Martha’s Rule working group chaired by Patient Safety Commissioner and we thank Martha’s parents for their amazing campaigning and this achievement that will benefit others.

Between 1970 - 1990s, more than 30,000 NHS patients were given blood transfusions, or treatments which used blood products, contaminated with hepatitis C or HIV. Over 3,000 people have died as a result, and thousands live with ongoing health conditions.

NHS Staff Survey responses reveal that not only are #LGBTQ + staff (at least 1 in 20) still having a disproportionately poor experience working in the #NHS , but that the experience gap between LGBTQ+ staff and their colleagues is getting worse, particularly for transgender staff.
