It’s been a busy day for surface dressing today, 35,000m2 of surface has been treated which is about 8.6 acres. Please stick to 20mph while the signs are up. We roll stones in, then sweep the remaining later.

⛔️Overnight closures are planned on Ealing Bridge, Sheering Rd #Harlow on 14 and 15 May 2024 (9pm-5am) while we carry out installation of anti-skid surfacing, white lining and gully works. Follow the signed diversion route during the closure.

Last month we carried out 978 pothole repairs. 529 were on priority roads & 449 on local roads. This is in addition to the larger-scale resurfacing works which are currently taking place across the county.

Southern Way #Harlow will be closed 8 & 9 May overnight for works to seal joints and cracks in road between #A414 & Potter St. This helps prevent water from seeping through the surface, which can lead to potholes developing.

🚲 The new two-way cycle path on Head Street #Colchester has opened today on schedule despite the gas leak reported on recently. Thanks to all those involved who were able to swiftly sort the issue and keep everything on track.

Last week, we carried out 216 pothole repairs, 112 of which were on priority roads and 104 on local roads. This is in addition to the larger-scale resurfacing works which are currently taking place across the county

When doing resurfacing works, conditions must be just right to ensure the best result possible. Surface Dressing can’t be carried out if the weather is too hot or too cold. We want the best results so may have to delay works at short notice.
