I'm in disbelief that Elizabeth St Garden is slated for demolition on Sept 10. It's one of those obviously great things about the city. Hoping this silliness is stopped. #SaveESG

NYS and NYC have been under one-party rule for over a decade. In that time QOL has decreased, safety has decreased, cost of living has increased, and criminals are allowed to roam free. I don’t blame the politicians. I blame the voters who make the same mistake each November.

Adams’s only reelection platform is that crime is down. Crime is actually emphatically not down, and now his entire criminal-justice infrastructure has rendered itself so untrustworthy that it can’t do its job. nypost.com/2024/09/08/opi…

Where did myth come from that more people are killed in NYC crashes than murdered? 386 murders last year &265 traffic deaths. Both have risen as disorder has risen. They are both serious problems; no reason to pick one or the other (you can’t, anyway; they rise/fall together).

I used to love walking my neighborhood during the early evening hours, but the ebike riders and cyclists have ruined it. Nonstop lawlessness at the intersections.

Never would I have thought they’d use 9/11 to promote a “Congestion” tax upon New Yorkers and promote an anti-car narrative. This is shameful behavior out of Streetsblog New York.

Cashing in: NYC students are hawking their new, school-issued OMNY cards, which offer 4 free rides a day for a year, Deirdre Bardolf reports. Kids are asking up to $1,500 per card in ads onFacebook Marketplace, but negotiating deals for less. nypost.com/2024/09/14/us-…

I recently invited victims of e-bike street violence to City Hall. These volunteers, many who lost their livelihoods due to e-mobility devices, aren’t paid like Transportation Alternatives. They’re driven by a deep commitment to safer streets, using their time, energy, & money to make NYC better.

More lawlessness in the subways. Another fare beater using violence in a system flowing with them. “‘career criminal' with more than 20 arrests.” The revolving door continues, and the city is allowing it. abc7ny.com/post/nyc-crime…

The criminal had a knife as have many arrested fare evaders. The MTA is going to lose near $900 million due to fare evasion. Yet the pro congestion tax supporters want the city to look the other way.
