This evening, our committee sent this letter to Frances Corner & Goldsmiths, University of London SMT, on behalf of our membership. Goldsmiths is constructed of world renowned depts, upheld by dedicated and innovative academics - 90 of which will receive redundancy letters on Monday.

At Goldsmiths University of London 62 have agreed to leave, 17 people have been redeployed, there are 18 people with their situation unresolved until this evening. As a union branch we're trying to save those 18. @goldsmithsucu

Management's 'offer’ to rescind 18 compulsory redundancies, if GUCU halts the marking boycott, calls off indefinite strike AND agrees to NO further disputes for 2024-25, was an ultimatum designed to discipline & disempower workers amidst further brutal restructures to the uni.
