This isn't just about the road. Across the UK, we want to see our Government helping to advance the prosperity of our communities in harmony with wildlife, not damaging it further 🤝

So, not only have Norfolk County Council ignored years of advice & submitted a planning application for the NWL...🤨

But some MPs have written to DEFRA Secretary of State to out-maneuver Natural England's bat guidance which could block the road, labelling their work as 'arbitrary' 🙃🥺

National Parks are fundamental to tackling species extinction and biodiversity loss.

But most National Parks land is privately owned and the National Park Authorities, therefore, have little control and influence over it.

DEFRA Secretary Steve Barclay says he has 'no plans' to gut Natural England's powers, despite Tory backbench pressure

So will he now also distance himself from the Conservative Rural Forum, which recently called for the same policy - & whose supporters include... Steve Barclay?!

How will the shiny new Dartmoor Land Use Management Group be composed, and crucially, who will represent nature on it?

It would be great if it had clear targets, was accountable and transparent, and could commission specific work.

Or it could be just a talking shop.
