A very interesting morning in the Big Meadow with Phoebe O'Brien @grasslandsirl. It is rare in modern times to see a lowland grassland that hasn't been fertilised, ploughed or reseeded in living memory, as evidenced by multiple ant hills many over 100 years old #HeritageWeek2023
A fascinating day in Glengarriff Harbour taking in marine wildlife large & small: Jane Sheehan talking Maude Delap and all things jellyfish; Brian O'Rourke @bantrybaytours catching crustaceans; & sightings of white-tailed eagles & seals #ellenhutchinsfestival #HeritageWeek2023

Luck was with us as the rain stayed away for our first event of the 2023 Ellen Hutchins Festival: a walk looking at the coastal wildflowers along the O'Sullivan Mile, Trafrask. This is our 3rd year running this popular walk which was once again fully booked. #HeritageWeek2023
