My statement regarding comments made about me today on LBC

Considering that the last German federal election and change in Chancellor couldn't even get the lead on BBC One bulletins and most national European elections don't even get on the running order, I'd say no chance.

Dan Poulter is not standing at the next election. For any party. He will dedicate more time to his work as an NHS doctor specialising in mental health. I've already seen a dozen tweets claiming he's defected to somehow save his (23,000 majority) seat.

A second defection to Labour in this Parliament!

This one appears like it isn’t a desperate move to save a seat, looks like he wants an advisory role for the next Govt - could very well happen given his position in the NHS & status as a fmr health Minister.
