The thing I don’t think those off-campuses understand is that these demonstrations would have petered out anyway in a couple of weeks. The semester is nearly over. Doing anything at all is escalation, let alone calling in the fucking national guard. It’s nonsense.

If you’re faculty at a university where there are protests, remember there are lots of ways to support, publicly & privately, tenured or not. Here’s a few:
-Know your faculty rights & rules
-Amplify protest info on your social media, privately to colleagues or in class

With all the attention on Columbia students right now, you'd think they were murdering 300+ people and leaving them in a mass grave near a hospital they bombed.

Harvard has launched a Gaza Solidarity Encampment

I know this is being normalized extremely quickly, but let’s take a step back, put political analysis aside, and think about how insane this is. Students across the country are being arrested by actual police for sitting on the lawns of their universities with tents and signs.

I voted no tonight on the foreign aid package for one simple reason: U.S. taxpayers should not be providing billions more to the extremist Netanyahu government to continue its devastating war against the Palestinian people.

The Harvard University solidarity encampment has gone up!!!!!

Demanding:
1) disclose all investments in occupation
2) fully divest
3) amnesty for all student protestors and an end to weaponization of disciplinary policy

Harvard has already shut down the campus in response.
