How you can accept people like that, whose only concern is with holding on to power, is beyond me

Joined the minute silence at St Paul’s for the Firefighters Memorial Day today to honour firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Importantly firefighters who lost their lives to cancer were recognised and remembered today.

May 4th is firefighters Memorial Day and am honoured to be attending an event in the the fighting 9 Eastern Fire Brigades Union tomorrow with Essex members to remember the dead - we fight for the living ✊

An organised campaign led by Adam Taylor & FBU Northamptonshire has achieved so much & showed after many years of talking about PFCCs, that actions speak louder than words.

🔥 The latest fire service pay offer includes an increase to the retaining fee paid to RDS firefighters from January 2025.

This goes alongside a 4% pay rise and improvements to maternity pay from July 2024

At this moment in time, proposals to crew fire engines on some occasions with 3 are just that, proposals. FBU Merseyside & Fire Brigades Union will oppose any move to reduce minimum crewing, regardless of any supposed justification. Dead or injured firefighters can't save lives.
