And yet if you try and argue for air travel demand management (taxes, stop to airport expansion) in high-income countries, some will vehemently argue that doing that would be unfair towards the global poor šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Climate experts were increasingly saying that keeping heating below 1.5C is near impossible, yet it remains the global goal. So I asked hundreds of top IPCC scientists what they thought. What they said shocked even meā€¦

**Climate change is extremely unequal**

- There is inequality in who causes it
- There is inequality in who experiences the worst consequences
- There is inequality in who influences mitigation (or the lack thereof)

You cannot tackle climate change without tackling inequality!

You can always count on Drilled to excellently expose the sneaky (and disturbingly clever) ways fossil fuel companies try to guarantee an unmitigated climate catastrophe šŸ¤Æ

This time it's exposing their infiltration of US universities and research.

Very interesting research on the effects of labelling products with carbon emissions. Perhaps a larger effect on company behaviour than on consumers?

So I was supposed to deliver the keynote at a @columbia symposium on climate and language this Friday, but I have informed the organizers that, with true sorrow, I am pulling out because I will not be associated with this university at this political moment.
