🚨IMPORTANT! I’m supporting Anaesthetists United’s legal challenge over the GMC regulation of #PhysicianAssociates and #AnaesthesiaAssociates. PLEASE WATCH THIS SHOCKING FILM & contribute to their crowdjustice fund if you can🙏 THIS IS TO PROTECT US ALL crowdjustice.com/case/stop-misl…
Wes Streeting MP Hi Wes! You forgot a big part of the team - your advisors! I’m sure that was inadvertent, so let me fill it in for you! First, there’s Paul Corrigan, who advocated private companies taking over NHS hospitals…
Carol Vorderman Dr Sandeep Bansal GMC LBC The BMA Maybe ask Jim Bethell to explain why he used secondary legislation & a statutory instrument to force the legislation through the Lords? Why it is worded to now give GMC discretionary powers that previously required debate of the Medical Act? bma.org.uk/media/ez3nle22…
Wes Streeting MP Why are there NHS queues? Because there are not enough doctors to plug the gaps. Why are there not enough doctors? Because their pay has been eroded massively since 2008. Who would want to work as a doctor on £15/hr? Retain your staff and pay them fairly.
LostDaze David Oliver Joe Pick GMC 💯 & remember Lord Jim Bethell? He was desperate to rush the legislation through the HoL as fast as poss. It appears that he has ‘close links’ w/ private healthcare providers🔥. Take a 👀👇🏼 IMO the #PAScandal has nothing to do w/ incompetence, every stage has been deliberate!
.The Labour Party supported the Tories in sneaking the legislation through Parliament They could have chosen to support Natalie Bennett fatal motion but did not What do we do when our politicians betray us? Is there any hope for healthcare in UK? Kier Starmer Wes Streeting MP
LostDaze trauma doc Dr Rachel Clarke James Steen The BMA Good Law Project I think it would be in every doctor and patient's interest to donate and support Anaesthetists United 's Judicial Review case against the GMC because if the court finds against the GMC, there will be trouble for them & govt.
Private equity owned US hospices deliver profiteering, high debt, asset stripping, worse care. Discharge patients before death, more likely to transfer patients to hospitals & emergency rooms, higher complaints/deficiencies. PE is now in UK healthcare. theguardian.com/business/artic…
Neena Jha When you keep flagging up that a simplistically trained, low entry/exit requirements, unregulated, unscoped role is unsafe (despite the Powers/ Promoters ignoring), the doctors are punished, the role is maintained, patients suffer, & privatisation continues apace. #PA-midstaffs.
Meg 👨👩👦👦👩🏻⚕️🇮🇳🇬🇧🏏🎥 3 1/2 years in post graduate surgical hospital jobs Trained as GP Minor Surgery in Practice for more than 2 decades. Always sent any possible skin malignancy to dermatology or plastics Any I excised CA on histology referred on and reflective event analysis performed
We knew there was a risk Wes Streeting MP’s words were empty. He knows that Physician Associates are HIGH risk for patients, because that’s the government’s own analysis. But Wes thinks he can duck this scandal, and get away with it. RT to show him he can’t. #AskForADoctor
Excellent to draft the Socialist Health Association motion on the abolition of the PA/AA role – with circulating PAs/AAs to be 'Medical Assistants' with strict scope limitation: protecting patients and our NHS. Exciting to present this motion to the Labour Party Conference. Please support!
PA Stephen Nash Patients at Risk: The Rise of the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant in Healthcare exposes a vast conspiracy of political maneuvering and corporate greed that has led to the replacement of qualified medical professionals by lesser trained practitioners. As
