Filled with glee in the Pendlebury Library of Music today - in our rare books collection is an edition of Charles Villiers Stanford's Requiem Op. 63, signed by the composer himself! Will be on display in the main library foyer for the next term to celebrate #Stanford100 🥳 (XRa.211.85S.R1)
“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Some pretty endpapers on a copy of the ‘Dialogen des Diogenes von Sinope’ (Leipzig, 1770), in which the German poet Christoph Martin Wieland gave a vindication of his philosophical views. A recent acquisition Cambridge UL Special Collections 7000.e.517.
The ever-beautiful St John's Smith Square, very grateful to be here with Clare College Choir today. Onto the second half!
Only a few days to go until Clare College Choir and
Graham Ross are back in St John's Smith Square performing one of my favourite works, joined by the wonderful ECSE and
Nicholas Mulroy. Very few tickets left, really cannot be missed!

I'm devastated to read this. What Graham Walker has achieved with St John's Voices is simply extraordinary; why get rid of one of the best mixed voice choirs in Cambridge? Particularly sad given the strides they have made towards gender equality in St John's College Choir; accepting girl…
Such a staggering, nonsensical loss of a dedicated, talented group of musicians. Thoughts are with all members of St John's Voices today, and I hope that St John's College, Cambridge witness the outcry from Cambridge's choral community this week and realise what a mistake they have made.
