I visited a new reserve for me today Montgomeryshire WT Llandinam Gravels. An enjoyable couple of hours exploring - 2 Little Ringed Plovers, at least 6 Common Sandpiper and 3 White Wagtail the highlights. Nearby at Llyn Clywedog; Osprey, Wood Warbler and Goshawk in stunning scenery👍
A perfect end to the day at Cors Ddyga RSPB. 3-4 Booming Bitterns,
dancing Marsh Harriers, 2 gaudy male Yellow Wagtail, 50+ wagging White Wagtails, 4 dapper Pintail, 2 diving Pochard, bobbing Common Sandpiper, reeling Grasshopper Warbler + 2 playful Stoats Anglesey Bird News
Stunning evening at Cors Ddyga. 4 Yellow Wagtails (3 male and a female) amongst 75+ White Wagtails. Greenshank, 3 Snipe, Dunlin, 137 Golden Plover (video) + 3 Marsh Harriers. Anglesey Bird News. Early morning RSPB Conwy - 2 Arctic, 1 Common and 18 Sandwich Tern + Lesser Whitethroat ☺️
Always good to see a Yellow Wagtail in North Wales. 2 male ‘flavissima’ birds this evening at Cors Ddyga. Also 50+ White Wagtail, 107 summer plumaged Golden Plover Peregrine + a Black tailed Godwit. On way home a beast of a Goshawk flew over A55 near Britannia Bridge Anglesey Bird News
Another morning of visible migration on Great Orme with Zak Spaull 2 Ring Ouzel, 2 Tree Pipit, 23 Wheatear, 20+ Willow Warbler, 6 Blackcap, 1 Reed Bunting, 1+ White Wagtail, 1 Jay, 1 Stock Dove, 1 Red Kite, 300 Mipit, 267 Goldfinch, 178 Linnet, 2 House Martin, 7 Swallow, c10 Siskin
A super morning on Great Orme with Zak Spaull : 4 Ring Ouzel, 7 Tree Pipit, 30 Wheatear, 1 Brambling, 2 Redpoll, 7 Siskin, 401 Linnet, 245 Goldfinch, 195 Meadow Pipit, 2 Skylark, 7 Swallow, 2 Sand Martin and an Orme mega - 3 Greylag geese over!
2 Common Sandpiper, 12 White Wagtail, House Martin, 20+ Swallow, 60 Sand Martin, Peregrine and 32 Teal at a windy Conwy RSPB RSPB Conwy this evening.
At least 5 freshly arrived Common Redstarts singing away in Powys Castle Grounds, Welshpool this morning. Also plenty of Willow Warblers, Blackcap, Swallow and Chiffchaff. Cool watching prospecting Goosander checking out various trees too ☺️👍 National Trust
