Learnt so much abt lead pollution in Kabwe today. Guided by our partners, the Transparency Action Group, set up by Transparency International Zambia, we visited a major dump site & Chowa Canal.

Inspired by the way TAG work w communities to remedy some of the worst challenges. Still a long way to go.

This morning, we were visited by two officials from the US Department of Justice - Mr Robert Bowen, Regional Director of Africa in the Office of Overseas Prosecution Development, Assistance, and Training; and Mr Ben Piehl, a DoJ Officer. (thread)

Guess what?
For the first time in 10 years, Zambia’s score has improved, rising from 33 to 37!

Zambia now ranks as the 98th country globally in terms of corruption, climbing up from the 116th place last year.
