I'm devastated to hear of the passing of Nicky Gavron. I loved that woman: strong enough to fight for what she believed in and brave enough to change her mind when the evidence demanded it. A huge loss to London. I will miss her greatly.

Incredibly sad to hear my colleague and friend Nicky Gavron has passed. Nicky devoted her life to public service in London. She served as Deputy Mayor from 2000-2003 and again from 2004-2008. She was a London Assembly Member from its inception in 2000 up until 2021. 1/3

I’m devastated to hear that Nicky Gavron has died. Through her decades of service to London government, and her vast expertise in planning and climate policy, she helped shaped the city we know today. But above all she was a mentor and friend, and I will miss her terribly.
