I deleted earlier tweet mistakenly said a park visitor heard a gunshot on the day of Tim Sheehy’s 2015 visit.
A Park Service summary said only that a visitor reported that a gun had accidentally discharged.
Please read this Liz Goodwin gem.

Great overview of where the House's standing (or falling):
* Massie joins Greene supporting Speaker's ouster;
* Johnson (for now) continues 4-track plan to pass what is really Senate version of Ukr+Israel+Taiwan.

GREENVILLE, NC - Influential evangelical lobby, exhausted by dithering, wants House to pass Israel aid immediately. They’re fine with Ukraine & the security supp passed by Senate.
This Abigail Hauslohner gem posted early yesterday, before Iran launched bombs.

Great Jonathan Martin jam.
The craziest thing you can say on Washington cocktail/diplo circuit right now?
That you think Biden will win.
CW in DC so much favors DJT, that few can see what data clearly shows:
A coin-toss race right now & Biden is gaining.

Trump will be stone's throw from Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick 🇺🇸's district office Saturday.
But don't expect Fitz to be there, as he continues to seek distance from DJT.
And Dave McCormick also has family obligations, he won't be there either.
Good Julia Terruso here.

For at least second time this year, House Dems were the majority party.
204 Democrats & 202 Republicans showed up to vote on a noncontroversial bill that passed unanimously.
16 Rs & 9 Dems missed the fly-in evening vote.

An amazing Ezra Klein essay about Gmail, etc.
'I have thousands of photos of my children but few that I’ve set aside ... I have stored everything and saved nothing. ... This is not something the corporations did to me. This is something I did to myself.'

'I still don't have any burning desire to be a senator,' Governor Larry Hogan tells Melanie Zanona
Great piece by Mel on MD's now-close Senate race.
Probably just gamesmanship by Hogan, because today's Senate races are mini-presidential campaigns.
Burning desire is job requisite No. 1.
Never covered Brennan, but in an earlier life I met a wild cadre of his super-smart folks like Chris Lehane 🇺🇦 and Todd Webster.
As Gov, Brennan appointed Mitchell to Senate & the Muskie-Mitchell lineage runs deep still.
He lost to Collins in '96, but his wake still ripples.
