While watching , you will see the parallels with the rhetoric we hear from our political and media class today. The same headlines. The same talk of 'floods' & 'invasions.'

The racist siege our elders faced was unleashed, fuelled and backed up by rhetoric from the top.

Just saw the 1st ep of this great new series about Asian struggles against racism & the far-right in the UK. Such an important history that we don’t talk about enough! For anyone keen to learn more, I highly recommend Preeti Dhillon’s book on the topic: dialoguebooks.co.uk/titles/preeti-…

This is very kind, Kiran - thank you!

I’d also recommend books by J.S. Grewal, Indu Banga, Jean-Marie Lafont, Fauja Singh & Ganda Singh for anyone who would like to deep-dive into this history. Their works & many others are listed in the bibliography of my book.

Pleasantly surprised to see female scientists on the coverage just now, discussing how & the menstrual cycle impact athletic performance! Really interesting stuff.

We must not be complicit in Israel's war crimes.

But Israel uses British-made arms in Gaza & our government still sells it weapons.

That's why today – alongside 134 MPs & Lords from Labour, the Conservatives, SNP, Lib Dems & more – I have called for arms sales to be suspended.
