This sexton beetle looked like it had expired on a North Yorkshire moor Ashleigh Whiffin , I don't know whether the mites had anything to do with it. Can you identify the species? If so I'll put it on iRecord

Had a great walk around the Lowther Castle & Gardens rewilding estate and it's looking great Lee Schofield Rewilding Britain . The Longhorn cattle have calves so they must be happy! Lots of great habitat for wildlife. On a tour of Lakes and South Scotland projects so lots in store

Last day of my fantastic Rewilding Britain tour for this year. Langholm Initiative Tarras Valley and RSPB Geltsdale show both local communities and big national charities can make a difference to nature restoration. Not many birds - highlight was pink feet skein heading to Solway
