Today, together with Deputy PM Salah Jama, I launched the revised #Humanitarian Plan for #Somalia - for what’s left of 2022, $1.1 bln is needed to preempt the looming #famine . The number of #Somalis in need rose from 3.2 mln in Jan. to 7.8 mln now. More: bit.ly/3TDZkzL

With the help of Somalia Humanitarian Fund, we are able to give the bare minimum for their family to get through this latest crisis. Though we always try to help as much as possible, it’s really not enough for all the people.

Every day new groups of people from rural areas come to Baidoa in dire need of aid. These are the most vulnerable people in the country, who have lost all their livestock which is their main source of income or livelihood
