Today's #WorldPatientSafetyDay focuses on the importance of engaging patients for patient safety. The role of patients, their families and carers and others, working with healthcare staff, is vital to making care safer, and a key part of the NHS Patient Safety Strategy.

NHS National Director for Patient Safety, Aidan Fowler, has recorded this message for #WorldPatientSafetyDay on the importance of involving patients in patient safety and why it is a key focus of the NHS #PatientSafetyStrategy .
