The incident on Webster St has been resolved. Both vehicle and pedestrian traffic are back open.

SPD is currently on scene of an active incident on Webster St between Seventh Ave and Eighth Ave. The incident is ongoing, we ask that vehicle and pedestrian traffic use alternate routes until further notice.

SPD Car Stolen
Just after 6 p.m. this evening, a marked SPD patrol vehicle was stolen from outside Ellis Hospital. The vehicle has been recovered on I-87 (NYS Thruway) near Kingston with the assistance of the NYSP. One male detained regarding the incident.

SPD is currently investigating a report of a person with a weapon in the area of Brandywine Ave and Odell St.

Several roads are closed to vehicle and foot traffic, please use alternate routes.

SPD is currently investigating a stabbing that occurred on Maple Ave.

SPD will hold a news briefing at the intersection of State St and Catherine St at approximately 5:20pm today in regards to the motor vehicle accident that occurred earlier today on State St.

State St between Hulett St and Catherine St is currently closed to all vehicle traffic in both directions due to a motor vehicle accident. Please seek an alternate route.

Several reports of a bear in the Woodlawn area.
Officers have observed it and requested assistance from the DEC. Those living in that area, please be aware of this evolving situation. Working to ensure it stays away from main roads and safely returns to its natural environment.
